Acceptable Use Policy

Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy applies to all Customers, users, end users, and anyone who accesses or uses Geodd’s Services.

Geodd’s Services may include:

  • Inferencing
  • Serverless Inferencing
  • Dedicated Inferencing
  • Dedicated GPU
  • Bare Metal Infrastructure
  • Website, dashboard, APIs, and related systems

Customer is responsible for its own use of the Services and for the use of the Services by its users, employees, contractors, agents, customers, end users, and anyone accessing the Services through Customer’s account, credentials, API keys, infrastructure, workloads, or applications.

General Use Requirements

Customer must use the Services only in accordance with:

  • This Acceptable Use Policy
  • Geodd’s Terms of Service
  • Any applicable order form or agreement
  • Geodd’s Data Protection Addendum, where applicable
  • Applicable laws and regulations
  • Applicable third-party rights
  • Geodd’s technical documentation and usage limits

Customer must not use the Services in a way that is unlawful, harmful, abusive, deceptive, unsafe, or disruptive.

Account and Credential Security

Customer is responsible for securing its account, dashboard access, API keys, credentials, tokens, applications, workloads, models, datasets, and infrastructure configuration.

Customer must not:

  • Share API keys or credentials with unauthorized persons
  • Publish API keys, tokens, passwords, or secret keys
  • Use another person’s account or credentials without authorization
  • Attempt to bypass authentication, access controls, rate limits, usage limits, or security controls
  • Misrepresent its identity or authorization to access the Services
  • Continue using credentials that Customer knows or suspects have been compromised

Customer must promptly notify Geodd if it becomes aware of unauthorized access, credential compromise, suspected abuse, or a security issue involving the Services.

Prohibited Uses

Customer must not use the Services to create, submit, transmit, host, process, facilitate, or support content, workloads, applications, or activity that falls within the prohibited categories below.

4.1 Illegal Activity

Customer must not use the Services for unlawful activity, including:

  • Violating applicable laws or regulations
  • Facilitating crime, fraud, or deception
  • Evading law enforcement or regulatory obligations
  • Assisting unlawful surveillance or unauthorized tracking
  • Supporting illegal marketplaces, illegal goods, or illegal services
  • Infringing intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other legal rights

4.2 Security Abuse

Customer must not use the Services to compromise, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to systems, networks, accounts, or data. Prohibited security abuse includes:

  • Malware, ransomware, spyware, credential theft, or phishing
  • Botnets or command-and-control infrastructure
  • Unauthorized vulnerability scanning or penetration testing
  • Exploit development against third-party systems
  • Credential stuffing, password spraying, or brute-force attacks
  • Unauthorized access attempts
  • DDoS attacks or traffic amplification
  • Abuse of APIs, accounts, infrastructure, or network resources
  • Circumventing security controls, rate limits, or access restrictions

4.3 Harmful AI Use

Customer must not use the Services to build, operate, or support AI systems or outputs intended to cause harm. Prohibited harmful AI use includes:

  • Generating or facilitating instructions for violence, terrorism, or criminal harm
  • Generating malware, phishing, credential theft, or cyber abuse content
  • Creating deceptive impersonation or fraud at scale
  • Producing non-consensual sexual content
  • Exploiting or endangering children
  • Generating instructions for self-harm, evasion of medical care, or dangerous physical activity
  • Making automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects without appropriate legal basis, oversight, safeguards, and compliance measures
  • Creating or operating systems designed to manipulate, deceive, or exploit vulnerable persons

4.4 Abuse, Harassment, and Exploitation

Customer must not use the Services to facilitate:

  • Harassment, threats, intimidation, or abuse
  • Hate, discrimination, or dehumanizing content directed at protected groups
  • Sexual exploitation or abuse
  • Child sexual abuse material or any content involving sexual exploitation of minors
  • Human trafficking or exploitation
  • Doxxing or publication of private personal information without authorization
  • Stalking or targeted abuse

4.5 Deceptive or Misleading Activity

Customer must not use the Services for deceptive activity, including:

  • Phishing or social engineering
  • Fraudulent impersonation
  • Fake accounts or coordinated inauthentic behavior
  • Misleading political, financial, medical, or legal claims
  • Manipulation of reviews, rankings, engagement, traffic, or metrics
  • Spam, unsolicited bulk messaging, or abusive outreach
  • Misrepresentation of AI-generated content where disclosure is legally required

4.6 Regulated or High-Risk Uses

Customer must not use the Services for regulated or high-risk uses unless Customer has all required rights, authorizations, safeguards, approvals, and contractual permissions. This may include:

  • Healthcare or medical use
  • HIPAA-regulated protected health information
  • Financial advice, lending, credit, insurance, or investment decisions
  • Employment, housing, education, or eligibility decisions
  • Biometric identification or surveillance
  • Criminal justice, law enforcement, or public safety decisions
  • Children’s data or services directed to children
  • Government identity, benefits, immigration, or entitlement decisions
  • Critical infrastructure or safety-critical systems

Unless expressly agreed in writing, Geodd does not provide Services specifically intended for HIPAA-regulated protected health information, children’s data, biometric identification, criminal offense records, or other legally restricted workloads requiring dedicated contractual or regulatory controls.

4.7 Sensitive Data Misuse

Customer must not submit sensitive, special category, regulated, or high-risk personal data unless Customer has all required lawful bases, notices, consents, authorizations, permissions, safeguards, and contractual rights. Customer is responsible for determining whether its data includes sensitive or regulated data and whether the Services are appropriate for that data.

4.8 Intellectual Property and Data Rights Violations

Customer must not use the Services to:

  • Infringe copyrights, trademarks, patents, trade secrets, database rights, or other intellectual property rights
  • Misappropriation of confidential information
  • Use datasets, models, prompts, outputs, or content without required rights
  • Remove, obscure, or alter rights management information
  • Violate software licenses, model licenses, data licenses, or third-party terms

Customer is responsible for ensuring that it has all rights required to submit, process, store, generate, use, and distribute data, models, workloads, prompts, outputs, and other content.

4.9 Infrastructure Abuse

Customer must not use Geodd infrastructure in a way that harms, disrupts, or degrades Geodd, other customers, subprocessors, networks, or third-party systems. Prohibited infrastructure abuse includes:

  • Excessive or abusive resource consumption
  • Mining cryptocurrency unless expressly authorized in writing
  • Running open proxies, open relays, or abusive traffic forwarding
  • Sending spam or unsolicited bulk communications
  • Network abuse, traffic manipulation, or routing abuse
  • Hosting malware, phishing pages, botnets, or abuse infrastructure
  • Interfering with service availability, monitoring, security, or billing systems
  • Attempting to access or affect other customers’ environments

AI Outputs and Customer Responsibility

Customer is responsible for reviewing, testing, validating, and using outputs generated through the Services.

Geodd does not guarantee that AI outputs will be accurate, complete, reliable, lawful, safe, non-infringing, or appropriate for Customer’s intended use.

Customer is responsible for:

  • Evaluating outputs before use
  • Applying human review where appropriate
  • Avoiding reliance on outputs for high-risk decisions without appropriate safeguards
  • Complying with applicable laws and third-party rights
  • Providing required notices or disclosures
  • Ensuring that Customer’s use of outputs is lawful and appropriate

Customer must not represent AI outputs as human-generated where disclosure is required by law or where failure to disclose would be deceptive.

Data Protection and Privacy

Customer must comply with applicable privacy and data protection laws when using the Services.

Customer is responsible for:

  • Having a lawful basis for submitting personal data to the Services
  • Providing required notices to data subjects
  • Obtaining required consents, authorizations, or permissions
  • Respecting data subject rights
  • Avoiding unnecessary submission of sensitive or regulated data
  • Selecting appropriate infrastructure regions
  • Configuring Customer-controlled systems and workloads securely

Where Geodd processes Customer Personal Data as a processor, the applicable Data Protection Addendum governs that processing.

Region Selection and International Transfers

Where Geodd offers Customer a choice of infrastructure region, Customer is responsible for selecting the region appropriate for its use of the Services.

If Customer selects non-EU, non-UK, or non-adequate infrastructure, Customer acknowledges and instructs Geodd that Customer Personal Data may be transferred to and processed in that selected region for the purpose of providing the Services.

Customer is responsible for determining whether its selected region is appropriate for its users, workloads, data, legal obligations, and data protection requirements.

Dedicated GPU and Bare Metal Infrastructure

For Dedicated GPU and Bare Metal Infrastructure, Customer may have direct control over workloads, applications, models, datasets, credentials, operating environments, access permissions, and network exposure.

Customer is responsible for:

  • Securing Customer-controlled systems
  • Applying patches and updates where Customer controls the environment
  • Configuring firewalls, access controls, and credentials
  • Preventing unauthorized access
  • Monitoring Customer-controlled workloads
  • Ensuring workloads comply with this Acceptable Use Policy
  • Removing unlawful, harmful, or abusive content or workloads
  • Maintaining lawful rights to all data, models, software, and workloads deployed

Customer must not use Dedicated GPU or Bare Metal Infrastructure to host, run, train, generate, or distribute prohibited content, malware, abuse infrastructure, unauthorized surveillance systems, or unlawful workloads.

Rate Limits, Usage Limits, and Fair Use

Geodd may apply rate limits, usage limits, quota limits, concurrency limits, technical restrictions, or fair use controls to protect the Services, other customers, infrastructure, and network resources.

Customer must not attempt to bypass, disable, misrepresent, or interfere with these limits or controls.

Geodd may throttle, suspend, restrict, or block activity that creates operational, security, legal, compliance, abuse, or service stability risks.

Monitoring and Enforcement

Geodd may investigate suspected violations of this Acceptable Use Policy.

Where permitted by law and applicable agreements, Geodd may take enforcement action, including:

  • Warning Customer
  • Requesting removal or correction of prohibited activity
  • Restricting specific features, endpoints, workloads, traffic, or regions
  • Suspending access to the Services
  • Disabling API keys or credentials
  • Removing or blocking unlawful or abusive content where applicable
  • Reporting activity to law enforcement, regulators, or affected third parties where legally required or appropriate
  • Terminating Services in accordance with the applicable agreement

Geodd may take immediate action without prior notice where necessary to prevent harm, protect security, comply with law, prevent service disruption, protect other customers, or respond to abuse, fraud, or unlawful activity.

Cooperation

Customer must reasonably cooperate with Geodd in investigating and resolving suspected violations of this Acceptable Use Policy.

Customer must promptly provide information reasonably requested by Geodd to assess:

  • Security issues
  • Abuse reports
  • Legal complaints
  • Data protection concerns
  • Infrastructure abuse
  • Unauthorized access
  • Prohibited workloads or content
  • Regulatory or law enforcement requests

Failure to cooperate may result in suspension, restriction, or termination of the Services.

Reporting Abuse

To report abuse, security issues, or suspected violations of this Acceptable Use Policy, contact: [email protected]

Reports should include, where available:

  • Description of the issue
  • Relevant URLs, endpoints, logs, timestamps, or account information
  • Evidence of abuse or unlawful activity
  • Contact details for follow-up

Geodd may not be able to investigate incomplete reports, but will review reports that provide enough information to assess the issue.

Changes to This Acceptable Use Policy

Geodd may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time to reflect changes in law, security risks, abuse patterns, Services, infrastructure, or business operations.

If changes are material, Geodd will provide notice by reasonable means, such as through the website, dashboard, email, or other electronic notice.

The “Last Updated” date shows when this Acceptable Use Policy was last revised.
